n Vitro Evaluation of the Cleansing Working Time and nalysis of the Amount of Gutta-Percha or Resilon emnants in the Root Canal Walls after Instrumentation or Endodontic Retreatment

G bstract he present study assessed the obturation removal and einstrumentation working time of canals filled with esilon/Real Seal in comparison with canals filled with utta-percha/AH Plus. Thirty human extracted canines ere instrumented. In group 1 (n 15) root canals ere filled with Resilon/Real Seal and in group 2 (n 5) with gutta-percha/AH Plus sealer. The obturations ere removed from both by using chloroform and rrigation with 2.5% NaOCl, and the canals were manally reinstrumented. The teeth were radiographically nalyzed. Specimens without obturation material remants visible in the radiographic examination were elected for analysis under scanning electron microsopy. The Resilon/Real Seal system was removed in reater quantities from the canal walls compared with he gutta-percha cones and the AH Plus cement. Time as not a significant factor. Under scanning electron icroscopy analysis, the teeth presented material remants in the 3 analyzed thirds. Resilon was better emoved from the canal than the gutta-percha cones nd the AH Plus.
